Obituary: Anna Pearl Berry, 79, of Bardstown
Anna Pearl Berry, 79, of Bardstown, died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014, at her home. She was born June 28, 1935, in Nelson County. She was a homemaker, enjoyed gardening, spoiling her grandkids and collecting keepsakes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest B. Berry; her parents, John Otho and Annie Pearl Hagan; two sisters, Della Mae Bryan and Dorothy Mae Carey, and two brothers, John E. Hagan and Francis “Jack” Hagan.
She is survived by her companion, Thomas G. Spalding of Bardstown; five daughters, Mary J. (Steve) Janes, Brenda L. Berry and Susan R. (Mike) Berry, all of Bardstown, Shirley A. (Lee) Lyvers of Hopkinsville and Katherine E. (Mark) Reid of Los Angeles; four sons, Robert K. (Joni) Berry of Bowling Green, William E. (Tina) Berry, Michael D. Berry and David W. Berry, all of Bardstown; four sisters, Anna Marie Goff of Bardstown, Mary Lily Newton of New Haven, Mary Lorraine Woods of Colona, Ill., and Mary Cecilia Hagan of Fultondale, Ala.; three brothers, James Chester “Chet” Hagan and Paul Hagan, both of Bardstown, and William “Billy” Hagan of New Haven; 20 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in the Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. David Cockson will officiate.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29, 2014, and 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014, at the funeral home.
