Obituary: Anna May Hunter, 97, Bardstown

Anna May Hunter, 97, of Bardstown, formerly of Bloomfield, died Friday, Sept. 26, 2014, at Life Care Center of Bardstown. She was born April 23, 1917, in Nelson County to the late Arthur and Pattie Bishop Anderson. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bardstown and was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas B. Calbert; her second husband, Hosea Hunter; one sister, Frances Duncan; one brother, Isaac Anderson; and one stepson, Thomas Calbert Jr.

Survivors include one daughter, Anna Jean Calbert of Bardstown; a special cousin, William Wells of Bloomfield; and numerous other cousins.

The funeral is 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014, at the First Baptist Church in Bardstown with the Rev. Michael Smith officiating. Burial is in the Bloomfield Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014, at the First Baptist Church of Bardstown.

The Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
