Obituary: Joseph Paul ‘Snit’ Caldwell, Sr, 82, of Elizabethtown
Joseph Paul “Snit” Caldwell, Sr, 82, of Elizabethtown, died Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. He was born Oct. 20, 1931 in Lebanon. He was a retired truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivo Caldwell, Sr. and Martha Ethel Abell Caldwell; four sisters, Cecilia Caldwell, O’Dele Caldwell, Mary Caldwell and Margaret Caldwell; six brothers, Austin E. Caldwell, Ivo Caldwell, Jr., L.V. Caldwell, Daniel Caldwell, Robert Caldwell and George Caldwell.
Survivors include three daughters, Sondra Harp of Louisville, Tammy Caldwell of Atlanta, Valerie Richerson of Ekron; a son, Joseph Paul “Jody” Caldwell, Jr., of Louisville; two sisters, Aileen Young and Bernadine Thomas, both of Lebanon; two brothers, Fabian Caldwell of Louisville and Nicholas Caldwell of Springfield; four grandchildren, Cory Harp, Britney Richerson, Elizabeth Richerson, and Noah Richerson.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014, at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Full military honors will be provided by the Marion County Veteran’s Honor Guard.
Visitation is after 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014, with a prayer s service at 7 p.m.
The Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon is in charge of arrangements.
