Bardstown firefighters respond for Ashberry Drive odor investigation

Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014, 1 a.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department was called Monday night to an apartment in the 100 block of Ashberry Drive for an odor investigation. The caller told dispatchers of a smell that resembled burning rubber. Firefighters responded to the call at 10:41 p.m. After investigating, they determined the smell was caused by a hair band that had fallen onto the light bulb in a lamp. Firefighters were on the scene for about 15 minutes.
