Obituary: Karen Sue Brown Rogers, 64, New Haven
Karen Sue Brown Rogers, 64, of New Haven, died Monday, Oct. 13, 2014, at her home. She was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church. She and her husband were co-owners of the Bluegrass Ice Company.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert W. Brown; and two brothers, Robert W. Brown Jr., and Gregory Brown.
She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Rogers of New Haven; her mother, Lucille Clover McElfresh of Hodgenville; one daughter, Kimberly Skaggs of New Haven; one brother, Herb Brown; two grandchildren, Katie Ann Rogers and Amanda Skaggs; one great-grandchild, Blane Michael Spears; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The funeral is 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, 2014, at St. Catherine Catholic Church in New Haven with the Rev. Troy Overton officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014, and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, 2014, with a prayer service at 5 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of the William R. Rust Funeral Home in New Haven.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions go to the American Cancer Society.
The William R. Rust Funeral Home, 167. N. Main St., New Haven, is in charge of arrangements.
