Obituary: Allen Edward Culver, Sr.,75, Bardstown

ALLEN EDWARD CULVER

Allen Edward Culver, Sr.,75, of Bardstown, died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2014, at Baptist East Hospital. He was a native of New Haven. He was born April 15, 1939, to the late Martin and Corrine Bryan Culver. He was a retired employee of General Electric, a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Springfield, an Army Veteran and a member of VFW Post 5710 in Shepherdsville.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Bradshaw Culver; one daughter, Jill Adcock of Louisville; two sons, Allen (Rhonda) Culver, Jr. of Lawrenceburg and Daren (Terri) Culver of Taylorsville; three sisters, Jeanette Greenwell and LaVerne Clark, both of Louisville and Betty “Betsy” Culver of New Haven; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with burial in the St. Catherine Cemetery. The Rev. Ben Brown will be the celebrant.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014, with prayers at 7 p.m. at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
