Obituary: Cora Regina Mattingly Thomas, 94, Calvary
Cora Regina Mattingly Thomas, 94, of Calvary, died Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014, at Spring View Hospital. She was born Aug. 15, 1920, in Calvary. She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Mark Thomas; her parents, Ben Spalding and Mary Joe Luckett Mattingly; one daughter, Terri Lynn Thomas; one son, Mark Thomas, III; and three sisters, Hilda Spalding, Clara Bland, and Elizabeth Ford.
Survivors include seven daughters, Sharon (Spalding) White of Nicholasville,
Rita (Dave) Mattingly, Martha (Leonard) Potter, Janet (Ike) Owen, Jane (Dennis) Murray, Kim (Tim) May, all of Lebanon and Mary Joe (Ted) Higdon of Calvary; 18 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014, at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is after 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, 2014, at Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon with a prayer service at 7 p.m. by Deacon Joseph R. Dant.
The Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon is in charge of arrangements.
