Obituary: Scott Othmar Stoke, 60, New Haven
Scott Othmar Stoke, 60, of New Haven, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014, at his home. He was a member of St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church in New Haven. He formerly owned Danny’s Gun Repair. He was an archaeologist by heart and loved to dig and hunt arrow heads and Indian relics.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ott Stoke; his father-in-law, Edward W. Maupin; and one stepson, Brandon Boone.
He is survived by his wife, Janie Maupin Boone Stoke of New Haven; his mother, Ethel B. Stoke of Louisville; two daughters, Amanda “Mandy” (Aaron) Edmondson of Berea and Elizabeth Stoke of Louisville; two stepdaughters, Jennifer Boone and Kimberly (Pat) Hagan, both of New Haven; one son, Wesley Stoke of Louisville; one stepson, Matthew Boone (Jill Hall) of Howardstown; one sister, Anne (Salvador) Gonzalez of Louisville; his mother-in-law, Patricia “Pat” Maupin of New Haven; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014, at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church in New Haven with the Rev. Troy Overton officiating with cremation to follow.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, 2014, and 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014, at the William R. Rust Funeral Home in New Haven with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Monday.
The William R. Rust Funeral Home, 167 N. Main St., New Haven, is in charge of the arrangements.
