Female motorcyclist injured Sunday when her bike collides with pickup

Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014, 8:15 p.m. — A 32-year-old woman was injured Sunday evening when the motorcycle she was operating was struck by a Ford pickup truck near the intersection of Springfield Road and Poplar Flat Road. Nelson County EMS and police were dispatched to the injury accident at 6:55 p.m. The victim was transported to Flaget Memorial Hospital with complaints of back and neck pain. The owner of the pickup truck was arrested on outstanding warrants and lodged in the Nelson County Jail.
