Obituary: Joseph Lee ‘Bubba’ Durbin, 58, Bardstown
Joseph Lee “Bubba” Durbin, 58, of Bardstown, died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014, at Kindred Hospital in Louisville. He was born June 3, 1956, in Nelson County. He was a self-employed truck driver and a former employee for Garland Terrell Trucking. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a member of Wheelen Sportsman Bernheim Chapter.
He was preceded by his mother, Barbara Catherine Riley Durbin; and one brother, Louis Durbin.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Newton Durbin; one daughter, Cathy (Bill) Blaylock of Bardstown; his father, Marion Ray Durbin of Bardstown; three sisters, Phyllis (Randy) Milby and Patsy (Mitchell) Price, both of Bardstown, and Peggy (Lennie) Sneed of Campbellsville; five brothers, John Durbin of Bardstown, Phillip Durbin of Harrodsburg, Tommy Durbin of Bardstown, Mike (Ronda) Durbin of Taylorsville, and Timmy (Brandi) Durbin of Harrodsburg; three grandchildren, Dalton Lee Blaylock, Bridgette Blaylock and Brandon Kirkpatrick; and one great-grandchild.
The funeral is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home. Burial is in the St. Joseph Church Cemetery with the Rev. David Cockson officiating.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, 2014, and after 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014, at the funeral home.
