Obituary: Wilma Ann Skaggs, 81, Bardstown
WILMA ANN SKAGGS
Wilma Ann Skaggs, 81, of Bardstown, died Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014, at her home. She was born Dec. 22, 1932, in Augusta, Maine to the late Walter Clare and Edwina Coney Ripley. She worked at Flaget Memorial Hospital as a registered nurse for many years and she was a member of Bardstown Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Hall of Fairdale and Karla (Drew) Davis of Louisville; two sons, Dale (Judith) Skaggs of Bardstown and Walter “Buzzy” (Dana) Skaggs of Cox’s Creek; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and her beloved dogs Sam and Abby.
The funeral is 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with Bro. Jonathan Gann officiating.
Visitation is 1-5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
The family request that In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to Barktown Rescue or the Nelson County Humane Society.
