Friday, Oct. 31, 2014 — Two Bardstown men and a Bloomfield man were arrested early Friday by Bardstown Police for failing to comply with sex offender registry rules.
James M. Clark, 35 and David Hood, 34, both of Bardstown, and Travis S. Hill, 25, of Bloomfield were arrested in the wake of a cyber crimes investigation conducted by city police. The three were each charged with failure to comply with the sex offender registry and being a sex offender in a chat/social media network. They were lodged in the Nelson County Jail.
The police department cyber crime investigations target known sex offenders who are required to follow the rules as part of their registration as sex offenders. A police department press release said it was part of ongoing efforts to eliminate the threat local sex offenders may pose via social media outlets.
Anyone with information regarding this investigation can contact Detective Jason Woodson at the Bardstown Police Department, (502) 348-6811, or Nelson County Dispatch (502) 348-3211.
