Obituary: David Lee Pennington, 75, Bardstown

David Lee Pennington, 75, of Bardstown, died Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014, at Baptist Health Care in Louisville. He was born Jan. 21, 1939, in Woodford County to the late John and Dorothy McIntosh Pennington. He was a 1957 graduate of Bloomfield High School. He was a former member of the United States Army Reserve, a member of the Bloomfield Church of God of Prophecy, and he was a farmer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Clifford Pennington and Robert Pennington; and one grandchild, Heather Pennington.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Hood Pennington; two sons, Allen Pennington (Paula) of Willisburg and Tim Pennington (Pam) of Bloomfield; one brother, Clyde Pennington (Susie) of Bloomfield, and 6 grandchildren, Kayla Barr, Brad Pennington, Kimberly Pennington, Kasey Pennington, Loren Pennington and Hannah Pennington.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3, 2014, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Bro. Millard Ledford officiating. Burial is in Maple Grove Cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, 2014, at the funeral home.

The Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
