Obituary: David Russell Scamahorne Sr., 62, New Haven

David Russell Scamahorne Sr., 62, of New Haven, died Friday, Nov. 7, 2014, at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville. He was born July 24, 1952, in Bardstown. He was the son of the late James Allen and Catherine Scamahorne. He was a Catholic by faith. He was retired from General Electric in Louisville after 40 years of service.

He is survived by one son, David “Russell” (Deloris Foley) Scamahorne Jr. of London; one sister, Shawana Stansbury of Bardstown; three brothers, Allen Scamahorne (Sharon) of Louisville, Tony Scamahorne and Pat Scamahorne (Theresa), both of Bardstown; one grandson, Mason Russell Scamahorne of London; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014, in the Chapel of the William R. Rust Funeral Home in New Haven with the Rev. Troy Overton officiating. Buria is in the St. Thomas Catholic Church Cemetery in Bardstown.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, 2014, and 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014, at the William R. Rust Funeral Home, 167 North Main St., New Haven.

The William R. Rust Funeral Home in New Haven is in charge of arrangements.
