Bardstown Fire responds Monday to fire in pool area at Wilson Motel

Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014, 12:25 a.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department responded Monday at about 1 p.m. to the Wilson Motel, 530 North Third St., for a reported fire in the pool area at the hotel. Firefighters found the fire was extinguished when they arrived. Apparently some shrubbery had caught fire due to an electrical problem with an extension cord. Firefighters were on staff for a short time.
