Obituary: Charles Wesley Minor, 90, Bardstown
Charles Wesley Minor, 90, of Bardstown, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown. He was born June 19, 1924, in Charlestown, Ind. He was a former toll supervisor with Southern Bell Telephone Company. He attended St. Joe Prep High School and served in the Army during World War II. He was wounded in France and was awarded the Purple Heart Medal and six Bronze Stars.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Bernice Hutchins Minor (Apr. 22, 2014) and his parents, Mackay Earl and Lillie Gertrude Baldwin Minor.
Survivors include one daughter, Kathy Laroche of Florida; one son, David Minor of Ridgeland, S.C.; two grandchildren, Leann Crockett and Wade Chambers, both of Florida; and one brother-in-law, Tony Hutchins of Bardstown.
Honoring his wishes, his body was donated to the U of L Bequeathal Program and no services are planned.
