Teen injured in Saturday morning crash on Murray’s Run Road

Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, 11:55 a.m. — A 17-year-old boy was injured Saturday morning in a single-vehicle accident at the intersection of Murray’s Run and Wilkerson Road. Nelson County EMS, the Northeast Nelson Fire Department and police were dispatched to the accident scene at about 8:30 Saturday morning. The car struck a tree and firefighters had to help extricate the victim from the vehicle. Firefighters set up a landing zone for a medical helicopter near the crash scene. The teen was flown to University Hospital with a fractured left leg and facial trauma.
