Bardstown man indicted on 542 counts of possession of child pornography

Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014, 7:30 p.m. — A Bardstown man was indicted Wednesday by a Nelson County grand jury on 542 counts of possession of child pornography.
Jeffrey R. Lugenbeal, 29, of Bardstown, was named in an indictment for possession of “any matter visually depicting an actual sexual performance by a minor.”
Possession of child pornography is a Class D felony that carries a penalty of one to five years in prison.
According to the indictment, bail was set at $25,000 cash only, plus conditions. Lugenbeal will be arraigned in Nelson Circuit Court on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014.
