Obituary: Jane Bailey Arnold, 97, Bloomfield

Jane Bailey Arnold, 97, of Bloomfield, died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown. She was born Dec. 21, 1916, in Shelby County to the late Clyde and Allie Duvall Coots. She was a former employee of Long’s Grill and the Big Burley Tobacco Warehouse, a homemaker, and a member of Bloomfield Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Isaac M. “Ike” Arnold; a special aunt, Waldine Duvall; and one grandson, David Arnold.

She is survived by her son, Carroll D. Arnold (Nancy) of Bloomfield; one grandson, Billy Arnold (Delisa) of Bloomfield; one granddaughter-in-law, Marsha Arnold of Bardstown; and five great-grandchildren, Andy Arnold, Camryn Arnold, Hallie Arnold, Cody Arnold and Chris Arnold.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Bro Tom Sparrow officiating. Burial is in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, 2014, at the funeral home.

The Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
