Obituary: Malena Gayle Washburn, 37, Bloomfield
Malena Gayle Washburn, 37, of Bloomfield, died Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014, at her home. She was born Nov. 2, 1977, in 
Nelson County to Roger and Linda Chesser Brown. She was an avid UK Wildcat fan. She attended Chaplin Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Austin and Sarah Emma Brown and Rollin Chesser; and her mother-in-law, Lois Washburn.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne Washburn; one daughter, Courtney Collins of Bloomfield; one son, Trevor Collins of Bloomfield; her parents, Roger and Linda Brown of Chaplin; one sister, Michelle Coulter (David) of Chaplin; her maternal grandmother, Mary Emma Chesser of Bloomfield; her maternal stepgrandmother, Catherine Chesser of Bloomfield; two nephews; and one niece.
The funeral is 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Bro. Millard Ledford and Bro. Winford Hagerman will officiate. Burial is in the Highview Cemetery at Chaplin.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014, at the Houghlin Funeral Home.
