Obituary: Joseph Daniel ‘Danny’ Carter, 60, New Haven

JOSEPH DANIEL ‘DANNY’ CARTER

Joseph Daniel “Danny” Carter, 60, of New Haven, died Nov. 23, 2014, at Signature Health in Elizabethtown. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was baptized into the Catholic faith, but had attended the Rolling Fork Baptist Church in the past. He previously worked at Bird & Son in Bardstown for more than 20 years before its closure.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marshall Carter.

He is survived by his mother, Helen Ray Carter of New Haven; two sisters, Mary Carter Noe (Jerry) and Fanny Carter Nix (Steve), both of Boston; two brothers, Mark Carter and Frankie Carter, both of New Haven; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral is 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014, at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven with Bro. Bruce Nichols officiating.

Visitation is 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014, at the funeral home.
