Obituary: William Michael Wimsett, 42, Icetown
William Michael Wimsett, 42, of Icetown, died Monday, Dec. 1, 2014, at his home in Icetown. He was born Aug. 23, 1972 
in Louisville. He was the son of the late Joseph Earl “Junior” Jr. and Mary Ann Bowling Wimsett. He was a member of St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church in New Haven. He was a self-employed roofer and an avid hunter, fisherman and UK Wildcat fan.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Patricia Gail McCubbins Wimsett and one nephew, Lawrence Wayne Dones.
Survivors include one sister, Vickie Price (Reggie) of Magnolia; four brothers, James D. “Jiggs” Wimsett, Maynard Wimsett and Larry Wimsett (Darleene), all of Bardstown, and Alford (Tiffanie) Wimsett of New Haven; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014, in the Chapel of the William R. Rust Funeral Home in New Haven with the Rev. Troy Overton officiating. Burial is in the St. Catharine of Alexandria cemetery in New Haven.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014 and 9-11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014, at the funeral home.
The William R. Rust Funeral Home, 167 North Main St. in New Haven is in charge of the arrangements.
