Obituary: James Steve Scrogham, 58, Bardstown

James Steve Scrogham, 58, of Bardstown, died Monday, Dec. 8, 2014, at his residence. He was born Sept. 4, 1956, in funeral_candleLouisville. He was a former employee for Yale Kentuckiana Forklift Company and an avid fisherman and golfer.

He is preceded in death by his father, James Robert Scrogham.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Riley Scrogham of Bardstown; two daughters, Heidi (Pat) Ulrich of Campbellsville and Heather (Eric) Scrogham of Bardstown; one son, Steven Scrogham of Bardstown; his mother, Judy Murrell of Arlington, Texas; two sisters, Lisa Coulter and Tammy Brewer, both of Louisville; one brother, Tim Scrogham of Louisville; 10 grandchildren, Cody (Olivia Ann) Ulrich, Morgan Scrogham, Blake Williams, Haleigh Taylor, Taylor Ulrich, Olivia Ulrich, Rylee Wirth, Logan Scrogham, Ethan and Eli Wirth; and one great-grandchild, Braden Ulrich.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, 2014, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home in Bardstown with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. The Rev. Bill Hammer will officiate.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014, at the funeral home.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
