Obituary: Mary Borgia Smith, 101, Lebanon

Mary Borgia Smith, 101, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014. She was born Nov. 9, 1913, in Lebanon. She was manager of Lebanon Goodwill for 32 years, and was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church.

funeral_angelShe was preceded in death by her husband, Ralphiel Carlton Smith (1981); her parents, Fred Zachary and Agnes Mouser Mann; six sisters, Bernice Mardis, Pauline Stine, Iona Spalding, Ann Lara Adams, Gertrude Jones, Drucilla Stein; and three brothers, Junior Mann, Billy Mann and Jodie Mann.

Survivors include two daughters, Judy Raikes of Lebanon, Mary Jane Gribbins of Lebanon;

four sons, Jerry (Carol) Smith of St. Louis, Jimmy (Christine) Smith of Lebanon, KY, Tommie (Bettie) Smith of Springfield and Johnny (Marsha) Smith of Standford; one sister, Mary Alice Marzian of Louisville; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, 2014 at St. Augustine Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, 2014, at Bosley Funeral Home. A prayer service is 7 p.m. Friday with Deacon Joseph R. Dant.

The Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon is in charge of arrangements.
