Obituary: Mary Alma Lamkin, 59, Bloomfield

Mary Alma Lamkin, 59, of Bloomfield, died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014, at Norton Hospital Brownsboro in Louisville. She was funeral_doveborn Oct. 16, 1955, in Marion County to Arvin Ray and Rita Mae Warner Whitlock. She was a former food service employee at Nelson County High School.

She was preceded in death by her father, Arvin Ray Whitlock; one sister, Diane Whitlock; and one brother, Mark Whitlock.

She is survived by her husband, William “Willie” Lamkin Sr.; three daughters, Angela Ball (James) of Shepherdsville, Kimberly Theis (Travis) of Carrollton, and Morgan Lamkin of Bloomfield; one son, William Lamkin Jr. (Juanita) of Bloomfield; her mother, Rita Whitlock of Campbellsville; two sisters, Mazie Bagby (Kenneth) of Campbellsville and Mary R. “Red” Lampkin (Chuck) of Bloomfield; seven brothers, Clellan Whitlock (Elizabeth) of Lebanon, Ronnie Whitlock (Jeannie) of Fairfield, Billy Whitlock (Sharon), Paul Whitlock, Tommy Whitlock, Leo Whitlock, and Jerry Whitlock (Chiquita), all of Campbellsville; six grandchildren, James “Kody” Ball, Makensie Ball, Taylor Theis, Katelyn Hess, Madison Lamkin, and Lucas Lamkin; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 9 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Bro. Tom Sparrow officiating. Burial is in the Highview Cemetery at Chaplin.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

The Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
