Obituary: James V. ‘De Dop’ Dever, 75, Lebanon
James V. “De Dop” Dever, 75, of Lebanon, died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014. He was born Nov. 16, 1939, in Lebanon. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army veteran and a retired OSHA safety consultant.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Garland R. Sr., and Frances O’Sullivan Dever.
Survivors include two brothers, Garland Roy Dever, Jr. of Lexington and John T. Dever of Newport News, Va.;
two nieces, Marie Dever of Louisville and Sara Sullivan of Hampton, Va; two nephews, Christopher Dever of Cambridge, Mass. and Seth Dever of Richmond, Va.; three great-nephews; and one great-niece.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Lebanon with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 9-10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014, at the Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon.
The Bosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
