NC EMS, city police respond to teenagers’ apparent overdose

Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2014 — Nelson County EMS and police responded at about 10 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014, to a reported overdose at a home on Scenic Drive in the Springhill subdivision. A 14-year-old girl apparently was believed to have taken an overdose of a prescription medicine. Police and EMS crews began CPR on scene and continued to do so while transporting the victim to Flaget Memorial Hospital. A Bardstown Police officer rode with EMS and assisted with CPR during the transport to Flaget.
