Obituary: Edna Cleo Brumley, 93, Bardstown

Edna Cleo Brumley, 93, of Bardstown, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2014, at Colonial Health and Rehab in Bardstown. She was fun_angelthe former Cleo Carter, a native of Nelson County, and a retired dental assistant for Dr. Bill Oakley. She was a 50 year member of the Nelson County Homemakers and a member of the Bardstown United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew May and Mamie Elizabeth Duncan Carter; her husband, Rudell Brumley; one daughter, Darlene Pack; and one son, Derald M. Brumley.

She is survived by one daughter, Karen Oliver (Gregg) of Cox’s Creek; one son, Kevin Brumley (Madge) of Bardstown; one sister, Lila Della Maggiora (Angello) of San Jose Calif.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 29, 2014, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home in Bardstown with Bro. Scott Stith officiating. Burial is in the Bardstown Cemetery.

Visitation is 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014, and 9-11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 29, at the funeral home.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
