FARION WALKER

Farion Walker, 61, of New Hope, died Friday, Dec. 26, 2014, at his residence. He was born Aug. 3, 1953, in Luxora, Ark. and a retired U. S. Army veteran where he was a medic. He was a member of American Legion Post 121, and Gethsemani Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge, Ark.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Henry Walker and Annie Elizabeth Walker; five sisters, Margaret Jones, Ollie Delores Walker, Shelia Athey, Deanie Ward, and Christine Shelton; and three brothers, Marvin Walker Jr., William Jefferson Walker, and Rocky Walker.

He is survived by his wife, Kay Walker of New Hope; two daughters, Elizabeth Walker of Washington and Kendrea (Chad) Ward of Cox’s Creek; three sons, Tom (Angel) Walker of Illinois, Farion “Bubba” (Cheri) Walker Jr. of Walnut Ridge, Ark., and Grant (Ashley) Bennett of New Haven; two brothers, Dan Walker of Jonesboro, Ark., and Johnny Walker of Walnut Ridge, Ark.; nine grandchildren, Justin (Tannia) Walker, Cassandra Walker, Jessie Walker, Kimber Spinks, Aron Bennett, Logan Bennett, Lucas Bennett, Jacob Ward, and Briley Ward; one great-grandson, Tristan Walker; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in the Bardstown Cemetery. Pastor Darrell Goodlett will officiate.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29 and 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30 at the funeral home.

The Barlow Funeral Home in Bardstown is in charge of arrangements.
