Obituary: June ‘Nanny’ Oliver, 83, Bardstown

June “Nanny” Oliver, 83, of Bardstown, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014, at University Hospital. She was born Dec. 9, 1931, in Glasgow. She worked for Bardstown School System and was a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church in Glasgow.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Perry Vibbert; and six brothers and sisters.

She is survived by one daughter, Theresa A. Oliver Wright (Glenn) of Georgetown; five sons, Tim W. Oliver (Phyllis) of Fisherville, David M. Oliver (Debbie), Larry E. Oliver (Susie) and Gregg L. Oliver (Karen), all of Bardstown and James R. Oliver (Dee) of Bloomfield; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many friends.

The funeral is 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2015, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in the Bardstown Cemetery. The Rev. Freddy Riggs will officiate.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015, and noon-3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2, at the funeral home.

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
