Obituary: Debbie Ockerman Tichenor, 57, Cox’s Creek
Debbie Ockerman Tichenor, 57, of Cox’s Creek, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015, at her home. She was born Oct. 4, 1957, in Bardstown. She was an administrative director for Murphy Pain Center and a member of Bloomfield Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Glenna Ockerman; and her mother-in-law, Mayelene Roby Tichenor.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Tichenor of Cox’s Creek; two sons, Brian (Lindsay) Tichenor and Stephen (Missy) Tichenor of Bardstown; her father, Wendell Ockerman of Bloomfield; three sisters, Sherry (Dean) Higdon of Louisville, Jo Carol (Kevin) Stephens of Bloomfield, and Wendy (Jeff) Lewis of Cox’s Creek; one grandson, Isaac Tichenor of Mount Washington; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015, at the Barlow Funeral Home with burial in Highland Memory Gardens in Mount Washington. Bro. Richard Carwile will officiate.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 5, 2015, and 9-11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may go to Bloomfield Baptist Church Building Fund, or American Cancer Society.
The Barlow Funeral Home in Bardstown is in charge of arrangements.
