Obituary: Sr. Barbara Croghan, 96, Nerinx

Sr. Barbara Croghan, 96, of Nerinx, died Friday, Jan. 16, 2015, at the Loretto Motherhouse Infirmary in Nerinx. She was born Jan. 22, 1919, in Denver, Colo. to the late John Croghan and Barbara Stroh. She entered religious life in 1934 and received her final vows in 1940. She attended Loretto Heights College in Denver where she earned degrees in English and Education. Her assignments were located in Colorado, Arizona, California, Illinois and Wyoming. She moved to the Loretto Motherhouse in 1990.

The Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015, at the Loretto Motherhouse Church, 515 Nerinx Road, Nerinx, with burial in the Motherhouse Cemetery.

The wake service is 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, 2015, at the Motherhouse.

The Mattingly Funeral Home is in charge of  the arrangements.
