JERRY WAYNE “THUMPER” CLARK
Jerry Wayne “Thumper” Clark, 45, of New Hope, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015, at his home. He was born Jan. 31, 1969, in Bardstown. He worked as a rock driller for Rock Drilling LLC. He was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church. He liked riding his Harley-Davidson and working on four wheelers. He was a fan of U.K. basketball. He was a cat lover who enjoyed playing video games with his kids and playing a weekly poker game.
He was preceded in death by his brother, John Francis “Frankie” Clark, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Toni Coomes Clark of New Hope; one daughter, Jacklyn Coomes of New Hope; two sons, Michael Coomes and Zachary Coomes, both of New Hope; his parents, John Francis Sr. and Kathleen Clark of New Hope; one sister, Sabrina (Ralph) Douglas of New Hope; three brothers, Ernie (Tracy) Clark of Boston and Timothy (Angie) Clark and Daniel (Ginny) Clark, both of New Hope; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015 at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in New Hope with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Ken Fortner will be officiating.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, 2015, and 8-10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015, at Barlow Funeral Home in Bardstown with a prayer service at 6 p.m. Monday.
Memorial contribution may go to the Nelson County Humane Society.
The Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
