Obituary: Kenneth James Bricker, 86, Bardstown

Kenneth James Bricker, 86, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015, at Norton Women’s funeral_lilyand Children’s Hospital in St. Matthews. He was born Oct. 10, 1928, in Monroe, Mich., to the late Ralph George and Neva Mae Prewitt Bricker. He was a former prison guard for the state of Illinois, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, and a member of Parkway Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Harold Bricker.

He is survived by his sister, Lana Meier (Gene) of Bardstown; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home in Bardstown with Bro. Matt Flanagan officiating. Burial is in the Bardstown Cemetery.

Visitation is noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25 at the funeral home.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Nelson County Humane Society.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
