ALBERTA LINDSEY

Alberta Lindsey, 84, of Bardstown, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. She was born Aug. 21, 1930, in Bardstown. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Rudolph Lindsey; her parents, Raymond and Blanche Hutchins; three sisters, Lucille Yates, Lunette Gordon, and Beulah Welch; two brothers, J.M. Hutchins and Raymond Hutchins Jr.; and one son-in-law, Louis Taylor.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Jane Taylor of Springfield and Sharon (Keith) Blandford of Louisville; two sons, David (Stephanie) Lindsey and Danny (Pam) Lindsey, both of Bardstown; three sisters, Jean Clark, Ardella Bowman, and Barbara Carter, all of Bardstown; one brother, Billy Hutchins Sr.; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 26, 2015, at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral with burial in the Holy Trinity Cemetery at Fredericktown with the Rev. Joseph Batcheldor officiating.

Visitation is noon-6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015 and 9-10:15 a.m. Monday, Jan. 26, 2015 at Barlow Funeral Home. A prayer service is 5 p.m. Sunday.

Memorial contributions may go to the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral.

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
