Firefighters investigate report of natural gas odor near Plaza Drive

Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015, 6:30 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department was called Sunday at 6 p.m. to a report of a strong smell of natural gas behind the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office, 210 Plaza Dr. Firefighters arrived and using gas detection equipment were unable to find a leak or determine a source for the odor. Units were on scene for about 20 minutes.
