JIMMY WATHEN

Jimmy Wathen, 67, of Bardstown, died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015, at his home. He was born June 13, 1947, in Bardstown. He was a former employee of Keene’s Depot and Rose Construction. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Helen Wathen; and four brothers, Sonnie Wathen, Harold Wathen, Donnie Wathen, and Jerry Wathen.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Hawkins Wathen; one daughter, Missy (Eddie) Price; one son, Jamie Wathen; one stepson, Dale (Kady) Hawkins all of Bardstown; five sisters, Carolyn Ballard, Flo Hobbs, Lois (Bobby) Ballard and Martha Bickett, all of Bardstown, and Maggie (Joe) Deviney of Florida; three brothers, Tom Wathen and Bill (Lorraine) Wathen, both of Bardstown, and Mike (Judy) Wathen of Shepherdsville; three granddaughters, Kasy Mattingly, Bekah Price, Aleta Wathen; one stepgranddaughter, Kaylani Hawkins; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015, at the Barlow Funeral Home with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date with Deacon Sam Filiatreau will officiating.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26, 2015 and 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may go toward the service of Jimmy Wathen.

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
