Police: One dead in fatal crash on KY 245 at Nelson-Bullitt County line

Monday, Jan. 26, 2015, 10:20 a.m. — One person was killed Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash at 
the Nelson-Bullitt County line. The Bardstown Fire Department, EMS and police were dispatched to the county line at 8:04 a.m. for a two-vehicle crash with one person who was ejected from a vehicle. A second crash victim was trapped in a vehicle. The Southeast Bullitt Fire Department and coroners from both counties also responded to the crash site. Bullitt County EMS transported at least one victim from the scene to a Louisville hospital. Firefighters remained on scene until 10 a.m. assisting accident constructionist investigating the crash.
A press release from the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office said KY 245 will be closed to traffic while the crash investigated is in progress. Motorists planning to travel through the area are asked to take an alternative route.
