Thompson’s on West Stephen Foster robbed at gunpoint Sunday night

Monday, Feb. 2, 2015, 1 a.m. — Thompson’s Food Mart was robbed at gunpoint Sunday night at about midnight. Bardstown Police were dispatched to the store, located at 509 W. Stephen Foster Ave., with the first officer arriving at the store within a minute of receiving the call.

Witnesses said the suspect left the store on foot and fled west. Police found that the suspect left a trail of money leaeding away from the store heading west along West Stephen Foster.

After reviewing the store’s security video, police determined the suspect was a white male in his mid-to-late 20s to early 30s, with a stocky build and wearing a mask, black hoodie, black pants, and black gloves and shoes. At the time this story was posted, officers were still investigating the incident. No one was injured in the incident.
