Obituary: Rachel Kidwell Peavler, 91, Bardstown

RACHEL KIDWELL PEAVLER

Rachel Kidwell Peavler, 91, of Bardstown, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015, at Colonial Health and Rehab. She was born Feb. 15, 1923, in Washington County. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lorane Peavler; one grandson, Dallas Armstrong; and one great-grandson, Matthew Armstrong.

She is survived by three daughters, Marilyn Peavler, Glenna Peavler, and Brenda (Mike) Sonne, all of Bardstown; one sister, Hazel Claycomb of Louisville; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015, at Barlow Funeral Home in Bardstown.

A private graveside service will be held at Highland Memory Gardens in Mt. Washington.

Memorial contributions may go to WHAS Crusade for Children or the donor’s favorite charity.

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
