Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015, 3:30 p.m. (Updated) — The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office, Bardstown Police, the Bardstown Fire Department and Nelson County EMS responded Tuesday about noon to a reported bomb threat and plan to shoot others at the Nelson County Baptist School, 55 Lutheran Church Road off KY245 just past noon Tuesday.
A student reported that another student told him of a plan to shoot others and the end of the school day and blow up the building. EMS and firefighters responded at 12:33 p.m. and staged at an area away from the school while officers investigated. Police interviewed the student and determined there was no threat. Officers searched a student’s vehicle at the school as a precaution.
In a media release Tuesday afternoon, police say the student, a juvenile, conspired with an unknown person to have that person call in the threat and implicate another student.
The investigation is still ongoing at this time.
