Sheriff’s office responds to report of runaway 15-year-old boy

Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2015, 11:30 p.m. — Nelson County deputy sheriffs were dispatched to the area of Farmaway Drive and Poplar Flat Road on a report of a missing 15-year-old boy at about 4:15 Tuesday afternoon. The boy allegedly ran away from his home, and was last seen walking on Farmaway toward Poplar Flat Road. Police units searched the area but were unable to locate the youth. He was later believed to have walked across a field to a friend’s house.
