Nelson Circuit Court Indictments–Feb 4, 2015

Editor’s Note: The indictment of a person by a grand jury or otherwise is an accusation only and that person is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

indictmentFriday, Feb. 6, 2015 – The following people were indicted by a Nelson County grand jury on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015. They are scheduled for arraignment Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015, unless otherwise indicated.

15-CR-028. William Curtis Whiteside, 25, Lebanon Junction, theft by unlawful taking and complicity to the same.

According to the indictment, on Jan. 8, 2015, Whiteside — acting alone or in concert with William Edward Whiteside — allegedly took various scrap metal items and other personal property belonging to another person having a value of $500 or more but less than $10,000. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-029. Jayline M. Conner, 20, Bardstown, trafficking in controlled substances, first-degree, (less than 4 grams cocaine); trafficking in marijuana (less than 8 ounces); possession of drug paraphernalia (2 counts).

According to the indictment, on March 18, 2014, Conner allegedly sold cocaine in an amount less than four grams to a confidential informant while in possession of drug paraphernalia. The indictment further alleges that on April 4, 2014, Conner allegedly sold fewer than 8 ounces of marijuana to a confidential informant while in possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-030. William Edward Whiteside, 47, Lebanon Junction, theft by unlawful taking and complicity to the same.

According to the indictment, on Jan. 8, 2015, Whiteside — acting alone or in concert with William Curtis Whiteside — allegedly took various scrap metal items and other personal property belonging to another person having a value of $500 or more but less than $10,000. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-031. Richard A. Snellen, 52, Bardstown, possession of a controlled substance, first-degree, drug unspecified (2 counts); possession of a firearm while committing an offense (2 counts); possession of a controlled substance, second-degree; possession of legend drugs; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; possession of a handgun by a convicted felon; trafficking in marijuna (less than 8 ounces); possession of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the indictment on Dec. 15, 2014, Snellen allegedly was found in possession of Fentanyl, Vyvanse and Suboxone;, the legend drugs Gabapentin and Promethazine; 8 ounces or less of marijuana with the intent to sell it; drug paraphernalia; a .380 caliber Titan semiautomatic handgun and a 20-gauge shotgun. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-032. David Lea Cox, 27, Bardstown, receiving stolen property.

According to the indictment, on Dec. 8, 2014, Cox allegedly received, retained or disposed of tools belonging to another person having a value of $500 or more but less than $10,000. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-033. Alphonso Gilberto Diaz II, 42, Cox’s Creek, trafficking in marijuana (8 ounces to five pounds); cultivating marijuana, five plants or more; possession of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of a controlled substance, second-degree; possession of legend drugs; possession of a firearm while committing an offense.

According to the indictment, on Dec. 16, 2014, Diaz allegedly possessed marijuana in an amount of more than 8 ounces but less than 5 pounds with the intent to sell it, and cultivated five or more marijuana plants. The indictment further alleges Diaz possessed drug paraphernalia, anabolic steroids and the legend drug Citalopram while also in possession of several firearms. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-034. Cory Wayne Cox, 22, Bardstown, burglary, second-degree; theft by unlawful taking; tampering with physical evidence.

According to the indictment, Cox allegedly broke into another person’s room and took a PlayStation 4, a wireless controller and video games having a value of $500 but less than $10,000. The indictment further alleges that Cox attemped to hide the stolen equipment to impair. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-035. Larry T. Allen, 60, Bardstown, solicitation for an unlawful transaction with a minor, first-degree (less than 16 years old) (2 counts).

According to the indictment on Jan. 3, 2015, Allen allegedly solicited a minor to engage in illegal sexual activity, said minor being under the age of 16 years old. Bail will be set at the arraignment on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015 in Nelson Circuit Court.

15-CR-036. Chris House, 53, Bardstown, theft by unlawful taking/disposition – shoplifting; persistent felony offender, first-degree.

According to the indictment, on Dec. 20, 2014, House allegedly took clothes, candles, games and other merchandise belonging to Wal-Mart having a value of $500 or more but less than $10,000. The indictment cites House’s prior felony convictions as the basis for the persistent felony offender charge. Bail was set at $25,000 cash only, plus conditions.

Raymond P. Ridener, 63, Bardstown, cultivating marijuana, five plants or more; trafficking in marijuana (less than 8 ounces); possession of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of a firearm while committing an offense.

According to the indictment, on Sept. 8, 2014, Ridener allegedly cultivated five or more marijuana plants with the intent to sell or transfer it; possessed marijuana and drug paraphernalia; and was in possession of several firearms at the time he committed these crimes. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-038. Geoffrey E. Boone, 30, Bardstown, possession of controlled substances, first-degree (cocaine); tampering with physical evidence; operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs; resisting arrest; failure to notify address change to the Department of Transportation.

According to the indictment, on Nov. 27, 2014, Boone allegedly possessed cocaine and attempted to swallow a baggie containing an unknown substance in order to impair its availability in an official proceeding. The indictment further alleges Boone was operating his vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and threatened to use or used physical force to prevent his arrested. Boone was also cited for failing to notify the Department of Transportation of his address change. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-039. James Wilburn Case, 42, Chaplin, promoting contraband, first-degree; promoting contraband, second-degree; possession of marijuana.

According to the indictment, on Nov. 25, 2014, Case is alleged to have knowingly brought marijuana and tobacco into the Nelson County Jail. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-040. Kevin Carter, 43, Mount Washington, theft by failure to make required disposition of property, $10,000 or more.

According to the indictment, on May 19, 2014, Carter allegedly received $19,000 for labor and materials to build a building and failed to do so. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-041. Abigail E. Ritchie, 18 New Haven, possession of controlled substances, first-degree (heroin); tampering with physical evidence; possession of drug paraphernalia; license to be in possession.

According to the indictment, on Nov. 8, 2014, Ritchie allegedly possessed heroin and drug paraphernalia. The indictment alleges that when she believed an official proceeding was pending, she hid two syringes inside her vagina. At the time of offense Ritchie allegedly did not have her operator’s license in her possession. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-042. Kevin Carter, 43, Mount Washington, theft by failure to make required disposition of property, $500 or more but less than $10,000.

According to the indictment, on August 19, 2014, Carter allegedly received $3,000 for labor and materials to build a retaining wall and failed to do so. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.
