Obituary: Barbara Jean Isenberg Jones, 86, Bloomfield
Barbara Jean Isenberg Jones, 86, of Bloomfield, died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015, at Signature Health Care in Taylorsville. She was born July 13, 1928, in Smith’s Grove to the late Samuel Dewey and 
Emma Kate Miller Isenberg. She was a retired teacher for the Nelson County Board of Education. She was a member of the National Education Association, the Nelson County Retired Teachers Association, the Taylorsville Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Bloomfield Christian Church Disciples of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Jones; her parents; and one sister, Joy Isenberg.
She is survived by three daughters, Sharron Mathews (Landon) of Bardstown, Pam Robinson (Bob) of Cox’s Creek, and Kimberly Kolb (Bruce) of Louisville; two brothers, Doug Isenberg of Glasgow and Bobby Isenberg of Louisville; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, 2014, at the funeral home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contribution to the Tom McKay Group Home, 329 S. Third Street, Bardstown, KY 40004.
The Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
