2 arrested Wednesday after traffic stop at Bardstown Middle School

Friday, Feb. 6, 2015, 5 p.m. — Two people were arrested Wednesday afternoon after a routine traffic stop by a Bardstown Police officer.
Joseph W. Hamilton, 36, of Bardstown, was driving a sport-utility vehicle with Tennessee tags when he was stopped by Officer Dalton Pinkston at 3:12 p.m. in the parking lot of Bardstown Middle School.
Police determined Hamilton was driving on a suspended license. He was charged with driving on a DUI suspended license, two counts of failure to wear seat belts, and failure of non-owner operator to have insurance.
Hamilton’s passenger, Angela M. Liston, 37, of Bardstown, was charged with illegal possession of a legend drug and tampering with physical evidence.
The pair were arrested and lodged in the Nelson County Jail.
