Obituary: Sharon K. Petit Griggs, 49, Leitchfield
Sharon K. Petit Griggs, 49, of Leitchfield, died Friday, Feb. 6, 2015, at Norton Hospital in Louisville. She was a homemaker and disabled. She attended the Little Mission Baptist Church in 
Icetown. She was born Dec. 15, 1965, in Bardstown to the late James R. “Jim” and Imaline Back Pettit.
She was preceded in death by one niece, Kimberly Jo Estill.
She is survived by four daughters, Rebecca (Daryl) McGuire and Marilyn “Emily” Peterson, both of Versailles, Ind., Melissa (Johnny) Griggs of Leitchfield and Julie (Jacob) Brown of Ottawa, Ill.; two sons, Patrick Trujillo of Millwood and Michael Nelson of Taylorsville, Ind.; three sisters, Roberta “Robbie” (John) Peterson of Versailles, Ind., Tammy Montross of Leitchfield, and Opal (Kenny) Stiltz of Easton, Ill.; 14 grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The funeral is 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015, at the William R. Rust Funeral Home Chapel, 167 N. Main St. in New Haven with the Rev. Warren Traylor officiating. Burial is in the Marshall Family Cemetery in New Haven.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015, and 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11 at the funeral home.
The William R. Rust Funeral Home in New Haven is in charge of arrangements.
