Obituary: William Larry Goff, 69, formerly of Nelson County
William Larry Goff, 69, of Louisville, formerly of Nelson County, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015. He was retired from Cepeda. He was a native of Nelson County, an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of the Fern Creek Sportsman’s Club and a volunteer at St. Bernard School. He attended Hurstbourne Christian Church where he sang in the choir.
He was preceded in death by his father, Hilliary Goff; and his stepfather, George Koppel.
He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Catherine Arnold; two sons, David Goff (Stacy), and Jason Goff (fiancé Polly); his mother, Eula Koppel; four sisters, Janet Kleier (Bill), Michelle Koppel, Marilena Wertz (Daryl), and Angela Browning (Greg); seven brothers, his twin, Barry Goff (Darlene), Danny Goff (Melissa), Ronnie Koppel, Donnie Koppel (Lynn), Keith Koppel, Newman Koppel, and George Koppel, Jr. (Judy); his mother-in-law, Gladys Arnold; two brothers-in-law, Bobby Arnold and Jimmy Arnold; and two grandchildren, Turner Goff and William Goff.
The funeral was 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015, at Hurstbourne Christian Church, 601 Nottingham Pkwy with a graveside service at Bardstown City Cemetery.
Memorial gifts may go to the WHAS Crusade for Children or Hurstbourne Christian Church Permanent Fund.
The Fern Creek Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
