Subzero temps prompt request for police to check on homeless man

police_badgeThursday, Feb 19, 2015, 12:15 a.m. — The extreme cold temperatures overnight prompted a call to Bardstown Police with a request they check on the welfare of a homeless man living in a wooded area off Withrow Court. Two officers responded to the call at about 7:30 Wednesday night. Police located the homeless man in the Withrow Court location. They reported to Nelson County Dispatch that the man turned down offers for assistance that included shelter from the subzero temperatures.
