Obituary: Dr. James D. B. George, 56, formerly of Lebanon
Dr. James D. B. George, 56, of Lexington, formerly of Lebanon, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2015. He was the son of Margaret Jacobs George of Lebanon, KY and the late Philip S. George.
He was a graduate of the University of Kentucky and the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. He was a devoted member of Cathedral of Christ the King. His passions were his children, family and his cherished office staff. He loved coaching youth sports and was an avid U.K. fan.
He is survived by one daughter, Andrea George of Lexington; two sons, Nicholas George and Christopher George, both of Lexington; three brothers, Philip (Karol) George, Jr. of Lebanon, Doughlas (Lou Ann) George of Springfield and Alan (Geri) George of Versailles; one sister, Jacqueline (Dan) Fadel of Louisville; and several nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015, at the Cathedral of Christ the King with burial in the Lexington Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 2015, in Hehman Hall at Cathedral of Christ the King, 299 Colony Blvd., Lexington.
Contributions are suggested to the Catholic Action Center in Lexington.
The Milward North Broadway Funeral Home in Lexington is in charge of arrangements.
