Bardstown firefighters respond for reported High Grove barn fire

Monday, Feb. 23, 2015, 11 a.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department was called out early Monday morning for a barn fire on Crenshaw Lane in the High Grove community. The fire was reported at about 7:22 a.m. The first firefighter to arrive reported the barn on fire had mostly collapsed with at least one vehicles burning and a home within 20 feet from the fire. The Mount Washington Fire Departments assisted in firefighting efforts by sending a tanker to haul water to the fire scene. Firefighters had the fire under control in about 30 minutes. The home sustained minor damage. Firefighters were on the scene for nearly two hours.
